Tour begins - June 16, 2024

Day 1:

Welcome reception and orientation. Stroll through Venice, the city known as the ‘Queen of the

Adriatic. (D)

Day 2:

Walking tour of Venice, the most serene of cities, with a local guide. See its glorious architecture, and

charming bridges and canals. Visit the magnificent Doge’s Palace and the acclaimed Piazza and Basilica of San

Marco. Journey along the canals for a view of the city from a gondola. Enjoy an evening of independent dining

and exploration. (B)

Day 3:

Travel on to Florence via private group water taxi and coach. Free time and lunch on your own in the lively,

historic foodie city of Bologna. Guided walking tour of Florence, the capital of Tuscany, and the birthplace of

Renaissance art and architecture. Enjoy a Tuscan dinner at a local Florence restaurant. (B, D)

Day 6:

Explore Rome independently this morning, In the afternoon visit the Vatican for a guided tour of the

Museums, with entrance to the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter’s Basilica. (Please note that the Sistine Chapel and

St Peter’s Basilica are sometimes closed by the Vatican, so visits are subject to availability.) (B, D)

Day 4:

Walking tour of Florence with a local guide. See the sights of the city center such as the Duomo, Palazzo

Vecchio, and Piazza della Signoria. Visit the Accademia Gallery to see Michelangelo’s iconic sculpture of David.

Savor a local lunch in the heart of Florence. After lunch explore this magnificent city at your leisure. (B, L)

Day 7

Depart for the World Heritage site of Pompeii, a city frozen in time after a volcanic eruption in 79 AD. Learn

about the city’s rediscovery in 1748 and excavation on a guided tour of this archaeological treasure. Savor

lunch at an authentic Neapolitan pizzeria before arriving at your hotel in Sorrento, a lively resort town since

Roman times, now famous for stunning views of villas dotting the rocky cliffs along the coastline. (B, L, D)

Day 5:

Off to the Eternal City – Rome. Stop in the scenic hill town of Orvieto for tasting of its renowned local wine.

Visit the Colosseum, imperial Rome’s iconic structure, and the ruins of Caesar's Forum, the ancient heart of

the Roman Empire. Your hotel tonight is in Rome’s historic center. (B)

Day 8

Take a fast ferry across the Bay of Naples to the charming island of Capri. Enjoy the breathtaking sights of

this beautiful island. Capri is beloved as a day trip destination for its Roman ruins and colorful Blue Grotto, as

well as its wonderful beaches. Return to Sorrento, where you’ll dine in the hotel this evening. (B)

Day 9

Scenic drive from Sorrento to Positano, a chic village that is one of the jewels of the Amalfi Coast. Stroll

through the colorful, narrow streets, browsing the many fashion boutiques as you head down to the beach.

Then take a cruise to Amalfi, passing by fishing villages, clifftop churches, and stunning architecture. Amalfi is

a beautiful resort town known for handmade ceramics, colorful tiles and the ancient craft of paper-making.

Return to Sorrento for a farewell dinner with your group.. (B, D)

Day 10

Tour Ends after breakfast in Sorrento (B)

  • At this time Covid Testing or Proof of Vaccination requirements have lifted, however this may change at any time.
  • This itinerary includes walking tours, as well as walking slightly longer distances, occasionally on uneven walking surfaces and

up stairs.

  • When filling out your registration form, Your Name must appear as it is written on your passport.
  • Passports are required.
  • At this time Covid Testing or Proof of Vaccination requirements have lifted, however this may change at any time.
  • This itinerary includes walking tours, as well as walking slightly longer distances, occasionally on uneven walking surfaces and

up stairs.

  • Travel Insurance is not included with this tour. Travel insurance is recommended but must be purchased independently.

Payments & Cancellations

Reservations are first come, first served. A $1000 deposit per person is required to reserve your seat on this tour. Space is limited. $500 of this deposit is non-refundable due to fees Parrott’s Tours will incur from vendors. No online reservations,  call our office at (810) 376-9245 to schedule an appointment. When reserving your seat on this tour we will need the registration form completed and your deposit. Ask about a convenient payment plan.

Final payments are due by February 1, 2024. You have the right to cancel your tour prior to February 1, 2024 and receive a refund, minus the $500 non-refundable deposit. This is due to fee’s Parrott’s Tours will occur with your cancellation. Any cancellation made after February 1, 2024 will not be granted a refund unless a replacement can be found.  In the unlikely event that Parrott’s Tours cancels this tour, all money paid will be refunded.

Pick Up Points & Departure Times

Pick up points and departure times will be determined 3 weeks prior to the tour. Pick up points will be determined by the number of passengers that have requested that location. Please list your preferred pick up location on the reservation form. The final pick up time, location, itinerary, and luggage tags will be mailed to you approximately three weeks prior to departure.
